DJI Inspire 1 Full Review
|DJI has quite a few drones currently on the market –it seems as if they really do know how to design them. Today, we are going to take a close look at the DJI Inspire 1, which is something that really caught our eyes for a variety of reasons. Let’s move forward and see if it is something that will live up to your expectations.
Looking at the design of the DJI Inspire 1, it’s very intimidating. It’s only 1.5 feet wide and weighs 6.5 pounds. This is a fairly large piece of professional equipment and should not be considered a toy to hand your kids.
This drone is capable of capturing amazing 4K video and high-definition imagery, which is a major benefit.
Looking at the specs of the Inspire 1, if you are familiar with drones, you’d probably realize that this one right here is a step up.
4K Video on the DJI Inspire 1
As stated above, this drone is capable of recording crystal clear 4k video clips at 24-30 fps, which is astonishing. Most quads are only able to record the typical 720p and 1080p videos.
DJI Inspire 1 Detachable Camera
The camera is also detachable, which is an added benefit. This way, if you would like to upgrade it in the future, all you have to do is unscrew the current camera and replace it with a new one – it really is that easy.
The Gimbal on the DJI Inspire 1
The gimbal is something else that we feel the need to mention. DJI is famous for the 3-axis gimbal technology and they did not skip out on it here. What’s even better, though, would be the fact that the gimbal is capable of rotating 360 degrees and tilting 125 degrees. If you do some research and look at the other drones that are currently on the market, you’ll find that no other drone is able to do this at the moment.
Navigation of the DJI Inspire 1
When it comes to navigation, there’s nothing to worry about – it really is as easy as everyone says it is, thanks to the nice controller and app interface. Even when the winds are strong outside, the drone is capable of maintaining its stability.
For this ready-to-fly quad, durability isn’t going to be an issue. In the landing gear, it has carbon fiber parts. Since they are made of carbon fiber, they offer toughness, without weighing too much. The design has that sleek, futuristic look to it, which is a real eye-catcher.
Are there any cons?
When it comes to the DJI Inspire 1, at this time, we cannot find any real cons, but we do see some areas that may need to go through some improvements. The first one is the price. A full kit will cost you around $3000. If you want an extra battery or an extra controller, then you will need to add extra. However, the features do justify the price. The battery life (18 minutes) is a little low, but to fix this, you can get an additional battery.
Other than those 2 factors, we really cannot find any other downfalls with the DJI Inspire 1.
Conclusion
Taking a step back and looking at the overall picture of the DJI Inspire 1, even with a big price tag and a low battery life, we still believe the drone is well worth every penny. If you’re looking for professional equipment, you’ll find it right here. If you can afford this price tag, you’re going to enjoy every minute of the drone – it really is well worth the money.
