High Great Mark Drone Review

The CES 2018 in Las Vegas this year was a big hit – not only did we get the opportunity to enjoy the exciting atmosphere that Las Vegas has to offer, but we also got the opportunity to look at some pretty amazing gadgets that will be coming out in 2018. If you weren’t able to attend, you missed out on a pretty cool show. While there was many different types of gadgets being announced, my main focus was placed towards drones (of course it was, because I’m a major drone fanatic). Looking at all of the drones being announced from well-known companies like DJI, AEE and Powervision, I couldn’t help but to get excited. However, today, I’m not here to talk to you about a drone by DJI or Powervision – I would like to introduce you to a drone from High Great (a company that is based in Shenzhen) and it’s called “Mark.”

Actually High Great showed off another drone at 2018 and it was called the “Hesper.” Both of them fold up like the Mavic, so they’re both light and portable, making them easy to carry around with you while you’re out and about. Out of the two drones, Mark feels like the smaller one.

Flight Time

What really surprises me is the fact that it offers a total of 18 minutes of flight time. That sure does beat a 4 minute flight time that some of the other drones give you. With 18 minutes, I will be able to do so much more in the air.

4K Resolution

Mark has the same camera sensor as Hesper, but this one right here is capable of capturing video at 4K resolution. So, while you’re up there in the air for 18 minutes, I’m pretty sure you know what I’ll be doing – I’ll be capturing 4K videos!

Flight System

Another great feature about the High Great Mark would be the intelligent flight system. For positioning, it uses VIO technology and it offers something known as Memory Cruise. For those of you that aren’t familiar with Memory Cruise, basically, it gives you the ability to fly or walk the drone to record a route, then you can one-tap launch your drone and have it autonomously follow the chosen mission. Personally, I really like Memory Cruise and it does come in handy, so I was glad the Mark drone came with it.

HighGreat App

In order to pilot the Mark, you won’t be able to use it with a true RC – you will be required to use the HighGreat app, which seems to be pretty cool. I had the opportunity to watch the High Great Mark fly around and I didn’t see any issues with the stability or anything like that.

Conclusion

High Great Mark may be a tiny drone, but you shouldn’t let that fool you, because big things really can come in small packages – this drone right here has a lot to offer you. I have a couple of friends that are talking about getting the High Great Mark drone and using it as a child and household surveillance, which is a pretty good idea. All in all, this is a really interesting drone that is set to come out sometime this year. Personally, it’s something that I am looking forward to and if you like drones that offer longer than 6 minutes of battery life, the capabilities of capturing 4k video and the ability to fold up so that you can easily carry it around, then the High Great Mark might just be a suitable drone for you.
